Please kindly note that the device is compatible with all types of thermostats and HVAC systems and will sync its operation with the main system. Drop your smart fan in the vent when the main system is not working, and then it will start working on the next HVAC cycle.
After that, the device will be working in sync with the main system no matter what type of thermostat is installed in your home.
Also, please note that it takes a few HVAC cycles for the device to learn the behavior of the main system and get 100% sync with your HVAC. Also, every time your main system mode is changed (heating <=> cooling), the device will need some time to adjust.
