SmartCocoon works with both heating and cooling systems.

If your SmartCocoon fan is connected to a Nest or ecobee thermostat, switching between heating and cooling modes is handled automatically, and no action is required from you.

If your home uses any other type of thermostat, you will need to manually update the operating mode in the SmartCocoon app. Simply navigate to the Thermostat page in the app and switch the mode to Heating or Cooling, depending on the current season.

For example, when changing from Heating to Cooling for the summer, the device will begin responding only to cooling cycles. It will ignore increases in duct temperature caused by warm outdoor weather and will no longer look for heating cycles.

Please note that after changing the mode, the device may require one HVAC cycle to fully synchronize with your system.

If the device has not synchronized with the new mode after a few HVAC cycles, please contact our support team and include your Fan ID so we can investigate the issue.
