No. The product is a booster fan meaning it will only boost whatever is already in the ducting system,

If the main HVAC system is generating heat, the product will boost more warm air into the room and i the main system is on cooling, the product will boost more cool air into the room.

If the main HVAC system is not working, SmartCoocoo booster fan will only circulate the air throughout the ducting system.
