The SmartCocoon product is a booster fan, meaning it does not generate heating or cooling on its own. Instead, it boosts whatever conditioned air is already being delivered through your home's ductwork.
When your HVAC system is in heating mode, SmartCocoon increases the flow of warm air into the room. Likewise, when the system is in cooling mode, it boosts the flow of cool air.
If the main HVAC system is not operating, the SmartCocoon fan will only circulate the existing air within the ductwork. It cannot create heat or cooling without the main HVAC system running.
