If you successfully add your ecobee thermostat to the SmartCocoon app, all SmartCocoon devices associated with that thermostat will automatically connect. From then on, your SmartCocoon fans will turn on and off whenever the main blower (furnace fan) starts, as well as whenever heating or cooling begins.
For example, if you schedule your furnace fan to run independently—without heating or cooling—simply to circulate air throughout your home, your SmartCocoon fans will also run. This is in addition to operating during normal heating and cooling cycles.
If you would prefer your SmartCocoon fans to run only during heating or cooling cycles—and not when the furnace fan is circulating air by itself—you can change this setting in the SmartCocoon app. Simply go to Thermostat Setup and change the operating mode from Fan Mode to Heat/Cool Mode.
Please note that, due to network communication delays, it may take up to 3 minutes for your SmartCocoon fans to respond after ecobee sends a command to the HVAC system.
