If you successfully add your ecobee thermostat to the SmartCocoon app, all devices under that thermostat will automatically connect. From then on, your SmartCocoon fans will turn on and off whenever the main blower (furnace fan) starts AND when heating or cooling begins.
For example, if you schedule your furnace fan to run independently—without heating or cooling—just to circulate air throughout your home, your SmartCocoon fan will also start. As mentioned, this is in addition to running during heating or cooling cycles.
If you would prefer your SmartCocoon fan to run only in sync with heating or cooling cycles—and not when the furnace fan runs by itself—please let us know, and we’ll be happy to adjust this setting for you.
Please note that due to network limitations, there may be a delay of up to 3 minutes between when your ecobee signals the HVAC system and when your SmartCocoon fan responds.
